“สะบายดี” คำทักทายที่แปลเป็นภาษาไทยว่า “สวัสดี” เป็นคำที่เราได้ยินจนชินหูและมักจะมาพร้อมกับรอยยิ้มหวาน ๆ และแววตาอันเป็นมิตรของผู้คน นครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ เมืองเล็ก ๆ ที่เงียบสงบแห่งนี้แม้จะเป็นถึงเมืองหลวงแต่กลับไม่มีความแออัดหรือวุ่นวายให้ได้เห็น เราเลยตกหลุมรักในความสงบและวิถีชีวิตเรียบง่ายของคนที่นี่เข้าอย่างจัง
วิถีชีวิตปกติของชาวเวียงจันทน์ไม่ต่างอะไรกับบ้านเรามากนัก อาจเพราะเราเป็นเพื่อนบ้านกันจะแตกต่างกันอยู่บ้างก็ตรงที่ชาวเวียงจันทน์รับ อิทธิพลทางด้านสังคม วัฒนธรรม และสถาปัตยกรรมจากฝรั่งเศส มาแต่ครั้งยังเป็นอาณานิคม สังเกตเห็นได้จากสิ่งปลูกสร้างอาคารเก่าแก่ ทรงยุโรป อาหารการกินที่มักจะมีข้าวจี่หรือขนมปังบาแก็ตเป็นส่วนประกอบอยู่ด้วยเสมอ (แต่กระนั้น เฝอ ก็ดูจะเป็นอาหารประจำชาติของลาวไปเสียแล้ว) และสิ่งที่ทำให้เราเห็นถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมเมืองนี้ได้อย่างชัดเจน

"Sabaidee" is a salutation which means "Hello" in the Lao language, you will hear this greeting everywhere from Lao people when they meet you with their shining smile. The city of Vientiane is a capital city of the Lao People's Democratic Republic but we could not see any hasteningThat's why we are falling in love with this peaceful city and a simple lifestyle of the people here so easily.

Nowadays, the social is changing and one of the important thing that makes us know is "Coffee Shops". You can see many coffee shops in every road here and each cafe has their own character and style. These coffee shops show us that the coffee culture in Vientiane is changingSo, this trip, we will bring you to the world of coffee in Vientiane.
On the old days, people of Vientiane was normally drinking the traditional coffee as same as the other countries nearby until there are many foreign and domestic investors started doing the coffee business and the people here is also starting to drink more roasted and ground coffee, especially in these past 4-5 yearsThe coffee shops in Vientiane are not serving only the coffee but there are food and dessert besides, they are becoming a meeting and working place because an air-conditions and free WiFi provided. It's clearly to see that the coffee business here is growing very well.
