ในโลกของกาแฟที่สลับซับซ้อน ที่ซึ่งทุกจิบสามารถบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของกลิ่นที่หอมหวาน รสชาติ และวัฒนธรรม นิตยสาร Coffee Traveler ย่อมไม่ใช่คนแปลกหน้าในวงการนี้ หรือแม้แต่ในวงการเครื่องดื่มอื่น ๆ และนั้น จึงทำให้เราได้มีโอกาสได้ค้นพบเรื่องราวของเครื่องดื่มอีกชนิดหนึ่ง ที่มีเบื้องหลังที่เต็มไปด้วยประวัติศาสตร์ รสชาติ และประเพณีที่น่าสนใจตีคู่มากับกาแฟ จนอดไม่ได้ที่จะเจาะลึกและเปิดเผยเรื่องราวนี้
เรื่องราวนี้เริ่มต้นขึ้นเมื่อทีมงานมีโอกาสได้พบกับคุณสึโยมิ มัตสึดะ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญชาจากประเทศญี่ปุ่น ที่เดินทางมาร่วมกิจกรรม Workshop ที่จัดขึ้นโดย “คาวามิ โกลด์” ณ ห้องชาญี่ปุ่น ร้านมิคาวะ Experience Center พญาไท เมื่อวันที่ 11-12 มกราคม 2567 ที่ผ่านมา โดยกิจกรรมนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้ผู้สนใจ ได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์แปลกใหม่จากผลิตภัณฑ์ของบริษัท ซึ่งเป็นชาพรีเมียมนำเข้าจากประเทศญี่ปุ่นคุณภาพดี และ Coffee Traveler เองก็มีโอกาสได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ด้วย ในระหว่างการร่วมกิจกรรม เราก็ได้มองเห็นความคล้ายคลึงและความแตกต่างที่น่าสนใจระหว่างเครื่องดื่มทั้งสองนี้ ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องดื่มยอดนิยมที่มีความสำคัญทางวัฒนธรรมมายาวนานนับศตวรรษ และนั่นคือจุดเริ่มต้นที่ทำให้เราตัดสินใจที่จะค้นหาความลับของใบไม้สีเขียวเล็ก ๆ นี้ พร้อมก้าวขาออกจากโลกกาแฟ เพื่อเดินเข้าไปสำรวจโลกแห่งชาเขียวเป็นการชั่วคราว และได้พบว่า โลกของชาเขียวเองก็มีสิ่งที่น่าสนใจให้ได้ลิ้มลองไม่แพ้โลกกาแฟที่เราคุ้นเคยเลย
เช่นเดียวกับกาแฟ ชาเขียวเองก็เป็นเครื่องที่ได้รับการยกย่องในเรื่องกลิ่นหอมที่น่าอัศจรรย์ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีประโยชน์ต่อสุขภาพมากมายจนกลายเป็นเครื่องดื่มที่เปรียบเสมือนสัญลักษณ์ของความสุขและการมีสุขภาพที่ดี เพราะชาเขียว เป็นพืชที่อุดมไปด้วยสารต้านอนุมูลอิสระและโพลีฟีนอล ที่มีคุณสมบัติในการช่วยบำรุงหัวใจและทำให้รู้สึกสงบ เรียกได้ว่าบำรุงทั้งร่างกายและจิตใจเลยทีเดียว ดังนั้น จึงไม่น่าแปลกใจที่ชาเขียวจะสามารถก้าวข้ามขอบเขตกาลเวลาและวัฒนธรรม จนหยั่งรากลึกทั้งในด้านประเพณี ไปจนถึงการเพาะปลูกจากจุดเริ่มต้นในฐานะสมุนไพรในยุคจีนโบราณ จนกลายมาเป็น เครื่องดื่มสำคัญในพิธีชงชาญี่ปุ่น การเดินทางของชาเขียว มีความเข้มข้นและซับซ้อน จนกลายเป็นเครื่องดื่มที่ครองใจผู้คนทั่วโลกเคียงคู่กับกาแฟมาอย่างยาวนาน

In the intricate realm of coffee, where every sip unfurls a narrative of aroma, taste, and cultural heritage, Coffee Traveler magazine is a seasoned player. However, our exploration doesn’t stop there : we venture into various beverage realms, granting us the privilege to unearth the tales behind different drinks. With backgrounds steeped in history, flavors, and traditions as captivating as those of coffee, we couldn’t resist the temptation to delve deeper and unveil these fascinating narratives.
The tale began with the team’s encounter with Mr. Tsuyomi Matsuda, a distinguished tea expert from Japan, during the Workshop organized by “Kawami Gold” at the Japanese Tea Room, Mikawa Experience Center, Phayathai, on January 11-12, 2024. This event aimed to introduce enthusiasts to new experiences through the company’s premium tea imported from Japan, renowned for its quality. Coffee Traveler seized the opportunity to join this endeavor. Throughout the workshop, we observed intriguing parallels and distinctions between coffee and tea, beverages that have
both held cultural significance for centuries. This served as the catalyst for our decision to unravel the secrets of the humble green leaf and temporarily venture beyond the realm of coffee
into the world of green tea. We soon discovered that the world of green tea offers just as many intriguing experiences as the familiar landscape of coffee.
Much like coffee, green tea boasts a captivating aroma. Rich in antioxidants and polyphenols, this plant-based beverage nurtures the heart and promotes tranquility, nourishing both body and mind.
Originating as an herb in ancient China, green tea has evolved into a cornerstone of the Japanese tea ceremony. Its journey is one of concentration and complexity, culminating in a beverage cherished by people worldwide. Despite its distinctiveness, green tea has long been paired harmoniously with coffee, bridging two beloved beverages.
